NEWTON FALLS - Dora Lee Gunther, 86, of 987 Maple St., died at 12:55 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, at Lori Ann Nursing Home following a brief illness.
She was born Nov. 22, 1927, in Sylacauga, Ala., the daughter of Nolan and Virginia Edwards.
Dora retired from Packard Electric as an inspector. She was a member of Braceville First Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Allan of Newton Falls; a grandson, Keith A. Gunther of Braceville, whom she raised; 12 grandchildren and many great- and great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Gunther was preceded in death by her husband, James Gunther; one daughter, Candace Gunther Middleton; one son, James Jr.; and 12 brothers and sisters.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Christian Church of Newton Falls, where calling hours are one hour prior to the service. Family also will receive friends at 1098 Braceville Robinson Road, the home of her grandson.
Burial will take place in Braceville Cemetery.
Arrangements of comfort were handled by the Sterling-McCullough Williams Funeral Home.
