WARREN - Mildred "Millie" Shabat, 90, passed away Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014, at St. Joseph Health Center.
She was born Oct. 23, 1923, in West Brownsville, Pa., the daughter of Walter and Mary Shabat.
Millie came to Warren to work at Packard Electric as an assembler, and then moved to California to work at Hughes Aircraft and moved back to Warren in 2009. She enjoyed ballroom dancing, doing crafts and crossword puzzles.
She is survived by her brother, Frank Spritzer of Warren, with whom she lived; three nieces, Teri (Michael) Surin of Warren, Carrie (Brett) Briscoe of Raleigh, N.C., and Kelly (Drew Bailey) Spritzer of Warren; and a nephew, Rock E. (Tracy) Spritzer of Walters, Okla.
She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Frank Spraicar; two brothers, Joseph and John Spraicar; sister, Ann Shabat; sister-in-law, Loretta Spritzer; and a nephew, Frank J. Spritzer.
Family and friends may call from 4 to 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Peter Rossi and Son Memorial Chapel in Warren. Service will be at 5 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Cortland.
