FAIRFAX, Va. - Perry T. Ensall, 87, of Fairfax, Va., died Friday, Dec. 6, 2013, in Dale City, Va., where he enjoyed living his final months with his daughter, Tammy Moore, and her loving family.
He was born Jan. 18, 1926, in Warren, the son of Olive May Whitstone and John Henry Ensall.
Perry served in the U.S. Army during World War II. As a Battle of the Bulge survivor, he received the Purple Heart for injuries resulting in the loss of his leg in 1945. He retired from the government as a computer systems analyst division head at MELPAR in Falls Church, Va.
Survivors include four children, Bruce A. Ensall, Shelley K. Campbell, Tamara L. Moore and Beth E. Selz; second wife, Susan C. Henderson; three stepchildren; two sisters, Dorothy Williams and Frances Pollcino; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and more on the way.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dolores J. Borawic; two brothers; a daughter, Karen S. Ensall; and a granddaughter.
A graveside memorial service will be held 11 a.m. today in Fairfax Memorial Garden in Fairfax, where he will be buried next to his daughter.
Arrangements were handled by Mountcastle Turch Funeral Home and Crematory in Dale City, Va.
