AARP SEEKING TAX VOLUNTEERS: AARP Tax-Aide is seeking volunteers to assist in tax preparation for the upcoming tax year. The Trumbull County program takes place at 12 sites throughout the county. The program is offered in conjunction with the IRS for free tax preparation and filing for seniors and other taxpayers with low to moderate income who need assistance filing their tax returns.
REAL LIVING VOLPINI AGENTS REWARDED: Real Living Volpini Realty Group agents were rewarded for dedication and hard work during a special appreciation day last month. Marisa and Richard Volpini, owners of Real Living Volpini Realty Group, invited their agents to the privately owned Sloas Airfield in Howland Township for a tour, buffet and displays of antique cars, airplane artifacts and pictures, unique model plans, posters, awards and memorabilia. Airplane rides were provided. About 40 people attended.

NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR AT SHEPHERD OF THE VALLEY: Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Retirement Services Inc., has announced the promotion of Rich Limongi, LNHA, SOV-Boardman Associate Director to the position of Executive Director Designee for Shepherd of the Valley. He will replace longtime executive director Don Kacmar who is retiring. Limongi is a graduate of Ohio University, previously worked for Park Vista Retirement Community and has been responsible for the daily operations of Shepherd's Boardman location. He also serves as Corporate Compliance Officer, Rehabilitation Coordinator, Legislative Advocacy Coordinator, HIPAA Compliance Officer, Staff Education Coordinator, and Integrated Care Delivery Services Coordinator.
WALKER NAMED INDPENDENT CONSULTANT: Chrissy Walker of Fowler has become an independent consultant with Tastefully Simple Inc., a national direct sales company. Walker offers delicious food samples at home taste-testing parties, along with easy ideas for everyday meals, recipes, serving suggestions and fun. All of Tastefully Simple's products are open-and-enjoy or can be prepared by adding only one or two ingredients.
HELP HOTLINE ELECTS OFFICERS: The board of directors of Help Hotline Crisis Center, Inc., appointed Cindy Michael of Warren, to an unexpired vacant position ending October 2015. Michael is the AFSCME Council 8 Staff Representative. Other officers elected were: President Theresa Taylor Tolson of Beloit; Vice President Crystal Jones of Leetonia; Treasurer Kenneth Tkatch of Poland; Secretary Robert Gardner of Poalnd; and Member-at-Large Sharon Stringer of Liberty.
