Tue 10:41pm: Shooting suspect in custody

WARREN The Trumbull County Jail confirmed that the man sought in connection to a double shooting in Warren early this morning is in custody.

Kardell Lowery Jr., 18, was booked into the jail this evening on charges of felonious assault.

Warren police have not released information about when and where Lowery was apprehended, or details on why the shooting took place.

Former Warren G. Harding High School and Youngstown State University football standout Davion Jonte Rogers, 22, and his half-brother, Jamal Brandon Coleman, 20, were wounded after gunfire erupted about 1:45 a.m. at their home at 2044 Ferndale Ave. S.W.

Police described the wounds as serious. Their condition reports were not released this evening.
