CLEVELAND - Police and others in Cleveland are working together to find a 9-year-old boy's wheelchair that was stolen from the family's van over the weekend.
The (Cleveland) Plain Dealer reports that the special green chair with wheels that light up was swiped from the back of the minivan late Saturday or early Sunday - apparently used by the thieves to cart away food stolen from a refrigerator and freezer in the garage.
Stephen Gibson - who has cerebral palsy and scoliosis - is in a bad spot without the chair. He can get around without it as long as he has help. But the bus that takes him to school can transport him only in his wheelchair, which is equipped with a special strap to secure him in moving vehicles.
