HOWLAND - Howland police say the death of a 7-year-old boy is still under investigation and no cause has been determined yet by the coroner.
Police responded to a distress call at 5:39 a.m. today at 8454 High Street, across from the police station. They found the boy's father, Corey Floyd, performing CPR on the child, who was then taken to St. Joseph Health Center, where he was declared dead.
Family members declined to give comments.
According to police, the boy's mother, Pamela McIntosh, lives at the address with her other children, who were sent to stay with other family members after police arrived on scene.
