YOUNGSTOWN - Thomas J. "Bobo" Bobonick, 82, of the city's West Side, passed away Friday evening, Oct. 25, 2013, at Austinwoods Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Austintown following a brief illness.
Thomas was born June 23, 1931, in Youngstown, a son of the late Joseph and Anna Bobonick, and was a lifelong area resident.
Bobo served in the Korean War in the U.S. Army.
He retired from the Pepsi-Cola Bottling Co., and was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, Holy Name of Jesus Church in Youngstown.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Orlando Bobonick; two sons, Thomas J. Jr. of Austintown and Michael of Youngstown; a daughter, Brenda Pavelko of Youngstown; five grandchildren; and a sister, Gert LaBaron of Struthers.
A sister preceded him in death.
Family and friends may call 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Road, Youngstown. Services will begin at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, and continue at 10 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at Holy Name of Jesus Church, Youngstown.
Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown.
