AUSTINTOWN - Marie Anna Bowmaster, 86, of Austintown, passed away Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013, at Hospice House in Poland.
She was born Sept. 24, 1927, in Michigan, to parents Charles and Esther Hagar Rink.
Marie married James Bowmaster in 1947, and together they had two wonderful children.
She worked for the JCPenney Co. as a clerk for more than 30 years, retiring in 1995.
Marie was a member of the First Church of God in Newton Falls, the Eagles club and the Saxon Club.
She was an avid reader, a Cleveland Indians fan and an Ohio State Buckeyes fan up to the very end.
Survivors include her daughter, Kathi (George) Wyllie of Mineral Ridge; son, Charles (Rose Mary) Bowmaster of Westerville; sisters, Esther Zdelar of Texas, Irene Winland of Newton Falls, Margaret Howard of Newton Falls and Jeannie Muckridge of California; grandchildren, Christopher, Abigail Bowmaster, Steven (Brandy) and Jason (Nikki) Wyllie; and great-grandchildren, Sydney and Samantha Wyllie.
Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, James, who died in 1986; and a sister, Nellie Rink.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Mineral Ridge Chapel, where a funeral service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hospice House in Poland.
