NILES - Pauline Mary Bell, 97, of Niles, died Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013, at Autumn Hills Care Center in Niles with her devoted sister by her side.
She was born Feb. 17, 1916, in Niles, the daughter of John and Salvatrice Bruno Bello.
Pauline attended Niles City Schools and was employed for 30 years at Trumbull Memorial Hospital's Central Supply Department, preparing and sterilizing surgical equipment, retiring in 1976.
She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Parish in Niles, and enjoyed cooking, puzzles, Italian traditions and family gatherings Sunday mornings after church.
Pauline, who was very family-oriented, will be deeply missed by her sister, Carmel "Millie" Lepore, with whom she shared her home; and sisters-in-law, Connie Bell, Angeline Bell, Opal Bell, Marsha Bell and Lena Bell. She leaves nieces and nephews Felicia, Michael, Carolyn, Marilyn, Robert, Donald, Thomas, Judy, Stephen, Terry and Jeanine, and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by six brothers, Anthony Bello, Carmen Bell, Phillip Bell, Sam Bell, Fred Bell and Russell Bell; and a sister, Rose Bello.
Friends may call from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Niles with Father John-Michael Lavelle officiating, preceded by a 9:30 a.m. prayer service at the funeral home.
Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery.

The family wishes to extend sincere gratitude to the nurses' aids, nursing and rehab staff and personnel at Autumn Hills Care Center, as well as Dr. Michael Ciletti for all their care and compassion.
