NILES - One man was arrested after two others were injured in a double-stabbing at the Timbercreek Apartments.
Abundio Gallardo-Garcia, 47, of 1227 North Road, was arrested on charges of felonious assault in connection with the stabbing. He remains in Trumbull County Jail, and his next hearing date is set for Wednesday.
Niles police were called about 2 a.m. Aug. 5 to 1225 North Road after several callers advised of a large fight at the apartment building. Officers were told a knife was used to assault two men.
Muneer A. Saleh, 21, was stabbed just under the chin, while Mundel Saleh Alakash, 45, was stabbed in the right side of the chest.
Alakash was transported to St. Joseph Health Center for treatment. Saleh received treatment at the scene. Their current conditions were not available Monday.
According to reports, the assault stemmed from a domestic dispute. Specifics were not released.
Garcia was arraigned on a charge of felonious assault with a weapon, a second-degree felony.
