FOWLER - Wilburt T. Law, 102, formerly of Vienna and Howland, died Monday morning, Aug. 12, 2013, at Concord Care Center in Fowler.
He was born Dec. 30, 1910, in Warren, the son of the late Thomas and Ethel Wells Law.
He and his wife, Wilma, had been Howland residents for many years.

Wilburt was a 1930 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School. He served as a sergeant in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II in the European Theatre and took part in six battle operations.
As a young man, he worked for his uncle at Law's Grocery Store in Niles. He retired after more than 50 years from Macali's Giant Eagle in Niles, where he was produce manager. He then worked part-time for Wollam Chevrolet in Cortland delivering auto parts.
Wilburt was a member of Vienna United Methodist Church, the Howland American Legion Post 700, the VFW Post in Vienna and the Vienna SCOPE. He enjoyed gardening and fishing and loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandsons, who called him "Papa Wheels."
He is survived by one daughter, Dolores J.(Smitty) Mealy of Fowler; two grandchildren, Shane (Sandy) Mealy of Cortland and Melissa (Brian) Orfin of Cortland; and two great-grandsons, Andy Orfin and Lucas Mealy.
His wife, Wilma A. Burr Law, whom he married Oct. 6, 1940, preceded in death February 2000. Two brothers, Harold and Russell Law; and one sister, Audrey Nelson; have all preceded him in death.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Vienna United Methodist Church with Pastor Cathy Ake officiating.
Burial will be at a later date in Howland Township Cemetery.
Arrangements were entrusted to Lane Family Funeral Homes, Shafer-Winans Chapel in Cortland.
