I am rather surprised that you gave orchids to Commissioner Fuda, Mayor Franklin and Recorder Marchese for supporting a group that rudely tried to negate other people's right to free speech. During the speaker portion of the anti-fracking rally, the counter-protesters from the log cabin area walked the sidewalks of the courthouse square blaring air horns.
Although it did not deter the speakers or the spirit of the rally, I found their behavior to be in poor taste. I guess that puts the named elected officials in the same category - willing to disrupt, but not open enough to listen to what others have to say.
Kudos to Jodi Stoyak and any other elected officials for attending the rally. There were many educated people to talk to, and so much information to be shared. Everyone I saw at the rally was polite and willing to share their knowledge on the subject. Jodi is educating herself and her community before decisions are made that affect so many.
