YOUNGSTOWN - Contrary to original reports, there is no evidence to suggest that a 30-year-old city man's baggy pants contributed to his death, according to a coroner's report.

The Mahoning County Coroner's Office also reported that, based on the death investigation or autopsy, there is no evidence to suggest that Savar Hendrix was jumped or assaulted.

The coroner's office, in a statement issued today, confirmed that Hendrix died July 30 from brain injuries and a skull base fracture.

Paramedics were called to 356 East Judson St., Youngstown, around 6:30 p.m. after Hendrix was found unresponsive on the cement driveway. He was found by friends and co-workers who were repairing an above ground in the backyard, according to reports.

Reports state Hendrix's head was on the driveway and his feet were on the stairs of a five-step staircase leading from the driveway into the side of the house.

He later died at St. Elizabeth Health Center, reports state.

An autopsy was done Aug. 2 and toxicology results are pending.
