LAS VEGAS - Dorothy Mary Calderone Modarelli, 78, formerly of Niles, passed away Monday, June 17, 2013, in Las Vegas.
She was born April 10, 1935, in Niles, the daughter of Anthony and Lida Vennetti Calderone.
Dorothy was a 1953 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and a former member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles.
She was employed in the title office of the Trumbull Clerk of Courts in Warren and retired from the Ravenna Arsenal.
She is survived by her sister, Adelyn Bellej of Niles; a brother, Walter Calderone of Cave City, Ky.; four nieces; three nephews; and two great-nieces; and a great-nephew.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Lee Modarelli, and a niece.
Internment took place at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial in Boulder City, Nev., where she was laid to rest with her husband.
There will be a memorial Mass to honor her life and memory at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 232 Seneca St. N.E., Warren, with the Rev. Bernard Schmalzreid officiating.
Local arrangements are being handled by the Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.
