July 17, 2013
Tribune Chronicle | TribToday.com

WARREN -- Commissioners this morning will vote on seeking bids for Trumbull County's 2013 road improvement program.

The program, run through the Engineer's Office, this year will improve Educational Highway in Champion, which leads to Kent State University at Trumbull and the Trumbull Career and Technical Center; Larchmont Avenue N.E. from Warren city limits to the state Route 5/82 interchange; and North Road between state Route 46 and Elm Road N.E.

Most of the $1.2 million project is being funded with grants. About 30 percent is being paid for by the Engineer's Office.

Also today, commissioners will consider spending $162,342 for a new tanker truck and vacuum unit for the Sanitary Engineer's Office. The vehicle would replace a similar piece of equipment bought in 1987.

Commissioners meet at 10:30 a.m. on the fifth floor of the county administration building, 160 High St. N.W.

See Thursday's Tribune Chronicle print edition for more on the commissioners' meeting.
