HOWLAND - The Ohio State Highway Patrol identified the two motorcyclists who collided Thursday night on North Road at Crestview Avenue.
Nicholas Cost, 56, of Warren was transported to St. Joseph Health Center in Warren with life-threatening injuries and remained in critical condition on Friday, troopers said. He suffered head injuries, according to reports.
David Robinson, 50, of Williamsport, Pa., was transported to Trumbull Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.
Troopers said neither man was wearing a helmet, and both were thrown from their motorcycles from the impact of the collision.
According to reports, Robinson was traveling north on North Road, but failed to yield while attempting to turn left onto Crestview Avenue. He was struck by Cost, who was traveling south on North Road.
Roger Swegan, owner of Fat Roger's Drive Thru at the intersection, said he saw the accident happen. He saw that one of the injured motorcyclists was bleeding, so he grabbed plastic wrap from the store and wound it around the man's head to help stop the bleeding.
The accident remains under investigation.
