WARREN - Ohio's Supreme Court announced today the suspension of Niles attorney Michael Joseph's law license.
Joseph, who practiced law since 1973 and with only one public reprimand in 1991, was suspended on an interim basis for failing to answer a formal complaint forwarded to the court by the Trumbull County Bar Association.
Unable to reach Joseph at his office listed at 815 Robbins Ave., an official with the Board of Commissioners on Grievances and Discipline of the Supreme Court said the lawyer never responded to the March complaint.
An affidavit explained several attempts to serve Joseph who also was sent notification at his last known address in Wilmington, N.C.
Joseph was registered as inactive when the complaint was filed dealing with a 2008 divorce case in which Joseph was representing a woman named Lorraine Christopher.
