WEST FARMINGTON - Village council is scheduled to give final reading for placing a renewal 6.6-mill general operating levy on the November election ballot at the 7 p.m. July 15 special meeting.
Mayor Allen Patchin said council last week had already given two reading on the levy which generates $26,424 annually for day-to-day operations and general needs of the village such as heating, lighting and electric.
Also, council has created a sewer reserve fund in order to have funds available when a new sewer system is up and running in 2014.
Patchin said bids for the project will be sought this fall.
The village is also preparing for the annual festival to be held July 25 to 28 in the park.
