BATTLE OF GETTYSBURG COMMEMORATION: The Civil War 150 Committee of the Sutliff Museum will present a Civil War program commemorating the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Eastwood Mall in Niles. The event will include a portrayal of Gen. James Longstreet at 1 p.m., and a presentation on the medical advances from the beginning of the war in 1861 to 1863 by Brian Brennan of the Rose Melnick Medical Museum.
MAKING STEW: The Lordstown Library Branch, 1471 Salt Springs Road, will hold ''Compost Stew" at 1 p.m. Tuesday with Holly Carine from the Geauga-Trumbull Solid Waste Management District. The program will have participants getting dirt on composting with stories, games and a bead craft. It's for children ages 5 to 12. Registration is required by calling 330-824-2094.
ART CAMP FOR SUMMER: Butler Institute of American Art Trumbull Branch, 9350 E. Market St., Howland, will present a free Summer Arts Day Camp from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 16 to 19.
