NILES - Frances J. "Bonder" Gustovich, 78, passed away peacefully at 11:40 a.m. Friday, July 5, 2013, at the Hospice House in Poland following a short illness.
She was born Dec. 16, 1934, in Warren, the daughter of Rudy and Eva Platt Leskovec, and lived in Niles her entire life.
A 1952 graduate of St. Mary's High School, Warren, she was a member of St. Stephen Church and the AMLA Club of Cleveland.
She retired in 1997 after working for 20 years as a legal secretary to the law directors for the City of Niles.
She enjoyed and was passionate about symphonies and operas.
Fran is survived by two sons, Frank (Mary Ann) Bonder of Irvine, Calif., and Thomas (Theresa) Bonder of Hubbard; five daughters, Frances (Bruce) Simeone of Niles, Sue (Jerry) Mollis of Niles, Christine (Tom) Pallante of Florida, Dorothy (Carlo) Ciccone of Howland and Mary (Tom) Yeigh of Newbury; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, James Leskovec of Niles.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Theodore G. Gustovich Sr., whom she married on Nov. 22, 1986.
Calling hours will be 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Monday at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Stephen Church. The Rev. Thomas Kraszewski will be the celebrant.
Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be mass offerings at St. Stephen Church or Hospice House, Poland.
