WARREN - Amanda Marie Butler, 99, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2013, at Community Skilled Health Care Centre.
She was born May 10, 1914, in Reader, W.Va., a daughter of the late Jesse and Mary Launcie Tracy Phillips.
She married Randall E. Butler on March 31, 1934.
She was a store manager with Goodwill Industries for 12 years. She enjoyed gardening and was an avid Cleveland Indians fan.
Memories of Amanda will be cherished by her sons, Randall E. (Sandra) Butler Jr. of Johnston and Paul D. (Mary) Butler of Warren; daughters Wilda (Ward) Jackson and Shirley Meikle, both of Warren; 14 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and sisters Patsy Lewellyn of Henderson, Tenn., and Mary Lou (Bill) Waugh of Champion.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Randall E. Butler; brothers Joseph, James and Allen Phillips; sister Roxie Pegg; and one great-grandchild.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, where Pastor Jim Dittmar will officiate. Friends are kindly invited to visit one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be in Pine Knoll Cemetery, Warren Township.
