POOL TO OPEN: Waddell Park's swimming pool in Niles will officially open for the summer season on Monday. The pool off Sharkey Drive in the park will be open daily from noon to 6 p.m., with lifeguards on duty. There is an admission fee for both resident and nonresidents.
FARM MARKETS: In cooperation with the Ohio Association of Food Banks, the Warren City Schools Food Service Department will be having a Mobile Farmer's Market from 11 a.m. to noon at Laird Community Garden, 565 Laird Ave., and noon to 1 p.m. on Friday at Agape Assembly, 426 Nevada St., Warren. Free produce will be distributed first-come, first-served.
These are also summer feeding sites which provide lunch and weekend backpack meals to children.
PRINCESS BALL SET: The "Princess Within" Purity Ball will be held from 6:30 to 10 p.m. at St. William Parish, 5411 Mahoning Ave., Champion. The event is being sponsored by Motivation for You, which reinforces to young women that they are beautiful and that their virginity is a gift. Many of the gowns are donated to allow girls to attend.

LOCAL FAMILY PART OF CONCERT: Cortland Trinity Baptist Church, 2576 McCleary Jacoby Road, will host the Sisters musical trio and the Stevens Family of Warren in a concert at 7 p.m. Friday.
The three singers began their group as The Ruppes, and have traveled the country sharing their music ministry. The event is one of a series of concerts to be held.
There is an admission, and a love offering will be received. Doors open at 6 p.m.
