WARREN - The city's health board gave the owner of a condemned house at 214 Nevada N.W. 30 days to find out whether he can save the garage if the house is placed on the city's demolition list.
Ronald Harris, 64, a retired Lordstown GM employee, says he will do whatever is necessary to save the three-vehicle garage at the rear of the property. He eventually wants to be able to sell the land with, at least, the garage on it.
Attorney Michael Scala, representing Harris, described the garage as serviceable and modern.
"The house is appraised by the auditor at $13,000," Scala told the city's health board.
