CLUB HOLDS FISHING CLINIC: The Eagle Creek Conservation Club is presenting a free fishing clinic for children ages 4 to 15 from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the club, 5525 Eagle Creek Road, Leavittsburg. The program is aimed at teaching the basic fishing techniques needed to help children get the most enjoyment out of their time spent on the water.

SOCIETY PLANS CIVIL WAR EVENTS: In celebration and remembrance of the 150th anniversary of the Civil War, the Mahoning Valley Historical Society is planning Civil War summer day camp for students ages 7 to 14. The camp runs 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 8 to 12 and Aug. 5 to 9 at the Tyler Mahoning Valley Historical Center, 325 W. Federal St., Youngstown.
The center will be transformed into a hybrid 19th century battlefield. Participants will explore all aspects of the war from politics and leaders to civilian and military life. There will be a mock election, 19th century games and summer camp activities. To register, call 330-743-2589.
TCI PLANS SALE: Trumbull Correctional Institute Charity Fund is sponsoring a trunk sale to benefit employees and officers at TCI from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 29 at the old LaBrae High School parking lot, West Market Street, Leavittsburg. Call 330-978-7385 for a space.
The fundraiser will help supplement employees who are on disability and unable to return to work for extended periods of time.
