HOWLAND - Two remodeled pavilions at Bolindale Park were recently dedicated by the township park commissioners.
Park Commission Chairman Jim Brutz said two aging pavilions at the park off Ridge Road on the township's west side were in need of refurbishing, which included new roofs, new concrete floors, and new pillars.
Park Commissioner Jim LaPolla said the project was approved last summer and work done by Bob Hill Construction at a cost of $17,000. The project was completed earlier this year.
LaPolla said the pavilions are used for picnics, graduations and birthday parties.
''We get a lot of use out of this park with the pavilions, basketball courts, tennis courts and playground," LaPolla said.
The park commissioners said Bolindale Park is well used throughout the year.
Park Commissioner Jackie Mills said this is the busiest time of the year for the parks.
