STEUBENVILLE - Sunday's superload move from the Ohio River to the new MarkWest fractionator facility on Giacobi Road in Hopedale was delayed due to mechanical problems.
It's been rescheduled for this Sunday.
State Route 7 and U.S. Route 22 as well as some county roads and state Route 151 will be restricted Sunday beginning about 6:15 a.m. in Jefferson and Harrison counties to allow for the transport of a third superload from the Ohio River to the Hopedale facility, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation.
The tank is too high to go under some bridges along U.S. 22. The procession will be using the on- and off-ramps to allow traffic to flow past so as not to restrict traffic for too long, ODOT reported.
This load will be extremely slow moving and will cause delays on the route for the majority of the day, ODOT reported.
ODOT is advising motorists to plan ahead and use an alternate route to avoid congestion and delays.
