In response to Karen Combs' letter on outrage over Benghazi, I ask her, were you outraged over the 13 consulate attacks during Bush's administration? Did you question why didn't he secure them, why wasn't there additional security, why wasn't there an inquest? No? Well, surely you were outraged when Republican congress cut $128 million in 2011 and $331 million in 2012 for embassy security? No? Hillary Clinton warned it would be detrimental to national security. They said they had to "prioritize," so apparently the lives of our consulate staff aren't a priority to them. Isn't that outrageous, Karen?
I am outraged that Republicans are politicizing this as a strategy to escalate this to an impeachment trial to take down Obama and ensure Hillary won't seek the presidency in 2016, which is their biggest fear. I am outraged about the distortion of the truth, attempts to revise history and disregard of the facts. The reputable reporting agencies have repeatedly said the facts of what happened do NOT jibe with what the Republicans are saying.
Her letter was NOT true when she first tried submitting it and it is NOT true now.
