May 26, 2013
Tribune Chronicle |

HOWLAND -- The dedication of a mobile wall of honor memorializing those from Trumbull, Mahoning and Columbiana counties who died in the Korean War will take place 10 a.m. today at Howland Cemetery.

``While we're voting for an American Idol, we have heroes right here in our area, Dave Luther said pointing to the wall.

The 137 names listed on the wall each hold stories of their own, Luther said. One in particular will be shared at the dedication -- that of Earl E. Williams, who died in the war one month before his 18th birthday. To be so young, Luther said he must have enlisted. Williams' nephew will be speaking at the event.

A complete story will appear in Monday's print edition of the Tribune Chronicle
