Wed. 2:14pm: Man hurt trying to break up fight

WARREN - A Hamilton Street man told police he was hit with a crowbar on Tuesday while trying to break up a fight between two girls in front of his residence.

Michael E. Brogdon, 25, 2307 Hamilton St. S.W., said that an unknown female was trying to hit people with a crowbar, according to a police report.

The report states that as Brogdon stepped in to try to stop the fight the female with the crow bar struck him in the right hand and arm.

Brogdon told police the females then fled the area. The police report indicates Brogdon was injured. About two hours later he called an ambulance to take him to a local hospital, according to the report.

Police reported that Brogdon's hand and arm were swollen.
