For some time now we have been very sensitive to minority rights, and in some cases, I think, rightfully so.
This sensitivity has advanced the cause of justice and equality when applied with common sense. When adapted to the liberal agenda, however, common sense goes out the window. Minority rights have their place, but when they trample the rights of the majority, we can have disastrous results.
Case in point, in a school of 400 students, one decides he doesn't want to have a morning prayer. One out of 400 stops the prayer. This is minority rule. The need of the one overrides the need of the many.
In another example, a purveyor of pornography claims that his right to make a living is infringed upon by a public outcry against him. He wins his case and the public loses. And finally, a minority of madmen in Germany, prior to World War II, gains power by lies and intimidation and proceeds to destroy a nation.
This type of liberal agenda is taking root all over America. The Bible tells us that a house divided cannot stand and, more and more, we are living in a divided house. We are divided politically, morally and, most troubling, spiritually. So much of what I see in America today is contrary to Christian belief as we experience a slow erosion of the passion we once had for Christ.
It is no longer a question of when we will turn back to Him, but if. The new minority in America are the people who have a passion for God. I wonder how far minority rule will take him. Let's pray that this minority will become a majority before it's too late.
