JOHNSTON - No one was injured after a small airplane flipped onto its roof about noon Wednesday as it tried to land on a grass landing strip in the area of state Route 88 and Love Warner Road.
Pilot Robin Whitt, 55, of Loves Park, Ill., said he was on his way back from visiting family in Virginia when the accident occurred. He was stopping at the small airfield to look at another airplane that was for sale.
Whitt was the only occupant in the aircraft.

A fire department spokesman said the Ohio State Highway Patrol was investigating.
State troopers notified the Federal Aviation Administration about the crash.
