WARREN -- Firefighters here stood by early Tuesday and used a spotlight from a firetruck to light up pieces of a discarded portable methamphetamine operation found at 448 Douglas St. N.W.
Members of a countywide drug unit and Trumbull Countys HAZMAT wore protective gear about 1 a.m. to gather up the equipment and ingredients that police say could have been thrown out of a vehicle into the yard.
Authorities said the procedure to manufacture the drug can be very explosive. Agents with the Trumbull-Ashtabula Group Law Enforcement Task Force said they were needed to collect the ingredients as potential evidence. Agents said they have a ''person of interest'' connected to what was confiscated.
