BOARDMAN - Edward J. Farris, 82, died Saturday evening, April 20, 2013, at St. Elizabeth Health Center after complications following an injury sustained in late February.
He was born April 27, 1930, in Youngstown, the son of George and Tatla Nassar Farris.
Edward served in the U.S. Army during Korean Conflict and was a deputy with the Mahoning County Sheriff's Department.
Survivors include his wife, Carmella Marie Massaro; one sibling, George of Youngstown; three sons, Edward Jr., George and John; six grandchildren and two great-grand-
Edward was preceded in death by six brothers and a sister.
Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home in Boardman, and from 9 to 9:50 a.m. Wednesday at St. Maron Church in Youngstown, where a Divine Liturgy of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m.
Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery, Youngstown.
