CHAMPION - Mary A. Chalker, 90, lifelong resident of West Farmington, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2013, at Windsor House in Champion.
She was born April 21, 1922, in Warren, the daughter of George F. and Maime L. Clark Chalker.
Mary graduated from West Farmington High School in 1940 and attended West Farmington United Methodist Church. She was a waitress for 20 years at Herb and Lee's Dutch Country Kitchen in Middlefield and was an excellent seamstress who sewed wedding dresses and cheerleaders outfits. She was an avid Indians and Cavs fan.
She will be missed by her friends and family, three nephews, James P. Chalker of West Farmington, Robert E. (Christine) Chalker of Amelia and Dennis A. (Margie) Chalker of Clovis, N.M.; and several great-nieces and -nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Leona M. Chalker King.
A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday at Hillside Cemetery, state Route 88 in West Farmington. Pastor Jim George of West Farmington United Methodist Church will officiate.
