LIBERTY - Police are investigating two bomb threats received at Walmart on Belmont Avenue days apart.
According to township police, the threats were called into the store Friday afternoon and again Monday evening. Each time the store was evacuated while police and store officials searched the premises for suspicious packages or other items.
Police Chief Richard Tisone said nothing was found either time and the store resumed its business as usual.
Tisone said authorities believe the calls were made by the same individual.
"You have two bombs threats within days," Tisone said. "It sounds like it likely was the same person."
Tisone said typically it is up to store management whether to close the building.
