YOUNGSTOWN -- Police say a man who drove into a telephone on the East Side early this morning was arrested on his sixth driving under the influence charge.
An officer found a pickup truck driven by 37-year-old Lloyd Bell of Beechwood Drive that had sheared a utility pole about 12:30 p.m. at Albert and Victor streets. Bell was outside of the truck staggering around and told an officer ``I had too many beers,'' reports state.
He was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center to be treated for his injuries and tried to refuse a blood test but he was told he could not because he has more than five previous DUI, reports state.
Bell is in the Mahoning County Jail on a failure to appear warrant for driving under suspension. He is expected to be arraigned Wednesday.
