LIBERTY - Clarence "Clancy" Banks, 67, died Friday, March 22, 2013, at Northside Medical Center in Youngstown.
Clancy was born Aug. 27, 1945, in McRoberts, Ky., the son of James M. and Flara V. Hall Banks.
Clancy retired from Warren Republic Steel (LTV) and was a member of St. Edward Church in Youngstown.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Wiesen Banks; his children, Cynthia L. Brown of Goose Creek, S.C., Cheryl A. Elser of Warren, Charles R. Banks of Rota, Spain, and Craig C. Banks of Ravenna; his sisters, Irene Stout of Las Vegas, Carolyn Griffiths of Liberty, Sheila Faber of Liberty and Vicki Dickens of Elemdorf, Texas; a brother, James Banks of Liberty, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Connie Marie, two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at the Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard. The family will receive relatives and friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Interment will take place at Belmont Park Cemetery.
