Anastasia embodied the spirit of filoxenia, Greek hospitality. Her home and kitchen were always open to friends, family and neighbors. She adopted and fed countless friends of her children. Her love of cooking was surpassed only by how much she loved sharing what she made with others, always served with a kind heart and generous spirit.

During her career at Evaline's Bridal Shop from 1955 to 1990, founded by her beloved mother, she helped many brides to brave their wedding jitters and find the perfect dress. She will be deeply missed by all those whose lives she touched.

Tessie is survived by her husband, William "Bill" Ahladis, whom she married May 29, 1955; six children, Nick (Amy) Ahladis, John Ahladis, Arlene (David) DiCesare, Jeff (Elizabeth) Ahladis, Demetrios "Jimmy" (Nikki) Ahladis and Evangelia "Ghia" (John) Burzynski; 12 grandchildren, Angelia (John), Michael, Alyssa (Alex), Matthew, Jenna, Elizabeth, Alena Anastasia, William Michael, Aleczander, Athena, Kaya Sophia and Alexander; and three great-grandchildren, LeAnna, Anthony and John Michael.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, George Apostolakis; two sisters, Mary Spanos and Gladys Mavros; and a stepfather, Sam Yoannidis.
