CANTON -- The LaBrae Vikings shut down Beachwood and rolled to a 59-30 Division III regional basketball championship on Saturday.
The Vikings didnt allow a point in the first quarter in taking a 17-0 lead and never looked back.
They play Versailles in the state semifinal at 2 p.m. on Thursday at the Jerome Schottenstein Center in Columbus. Its the first time in school history LaBrae has reached the state semifinals.
The Vikings' Petyon Aldridge nearly recorded a triple-double with 14 points, 17 rebounds and seven blocks. He had plenty of help as guard Carl Brown and forward Marcell Richardson each scored 15 points.
