SCHOOL DIRECTOR TO SPEAK: The Northeast Warren Neighborhood Association will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at Knights of Columbus Hall, East Market Street, Warren. Guest speaker is Melissa Watson, curriculum director of Warren City Schools, who will speak on Ohio's new school testing.
ACADEMY HAS OPENINGS: Applications are being accepted for the Warren Police Department's Citizen's Police Awareness Academy Training. The next class is scheduled to start on April 10 and run for eight weeks. SPRING CLEANUP PLANNED: Spring cleanup at Girard City Cemetery has been scheduled through March 24 for removing all Christmas decorations form the graves. After that date, employees will be removing decoration in preparation for Easter and Memorial Day.
WORKSHOP OFFERED: A free songwriting workshop will be held at 6 p.m. Monday at the Warren-Trumbull County Public Library, 444 Mahoning Ave. N.W., Warren. The workshop is designed for the beginning songwriter, with presenter Marc Black. Attendees will be encouraged to perform songs they've written or present ideas of things they'd like to write about.
