WARREN - Virginia "Ginny" N. Hoyt, 91, died in her sleep Tuesday, March 12, 2013, in her home.
She was born Aug. 30, 1921, in Warren, the daughter of William and Helen Nicholas.
Virginia retired from Trumbull Memorial Hospital as assistant head nurse on the post-partum floor, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Warren.

Survivors include two sons, Jack of Warren and William of Calhan, Colo.; two daughters, Dr. Nicki Harrington of Yuba City, Calif., and Pamela Shimborske of Berlin Center; a brother, Earl Nicholas of Mississippi; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Hoyt Sr.; two brothers; and a sister.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in the main sanctuary of First United Methodist Church, Warren, where family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Cremation has taken place and final committal will follow with a private service.
Arrangements are entrusted to McFarland and Son Funeral and Cremation Services Co. in Warren.
