NEWTON FALLS - Robert E. McMasters, 80, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at Northside Medical Center.
On Dec. 19, 1932, in Youngstown, Russell and Eleanor Black McMasters welcomed the birth of their son, Robert.
Bob was a lifetime area resident and a U.S. Army Korean War-era veteran.
Robert was co-owner of the Leaf and Stem Plant Shop.
Carole Phillips and Robert McMasters were united into marriage Oct. 29, 1960.
Cherished memories of Robert will be carried on by his wife, Carole McMasters of Newton Falls; sons, Robert McMasters Jr. of New Castle, Pa., Phillip and Jeff McMasters, both of Newton Falls; daughter, Dianne McMasters Gonzalez of Campbell; brother, Paul McMasters of Missouri; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents; brothers, Russell and David; and grandchildren, Ryan and Alfred McMasters.
Friends may call one hour prior to the 1 p.m. services Saturday at the Pricetown United Methodist Church.
Newton Falls Veterans Organization will honor Robert for his service to our country.
Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Hermitage, Pa.
