Jagodinka Beyers 1920-2103

WARREN - Mrs. Jagodinka Beyers, 92, passed away at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at the Trumbull Memorial Hospital of natural causes.

Mrs. Beyers was born Aug. 13, 1920, in Dobridol, Serbia, the daughter of Yros and Todora Milosevic, and she came to the U.S. in 1962.

She was educated in Serbia and spent time working in a steel mill before emigrating to the U.S. She spent her adult life as a homemaker.

She married Dragutin Kandic, with whom she had three children. He preceded her in death. She then married Leonard Beyers, who also preceded her in death.

She was a member of St. George Serbian Orthodox Church in Hermitage, Pa. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting.

She is survived by a son, Radisa Kandic of Warren, with whom she made her home; a daughter, Zorica Jelic of Hermitage; four grandchildren, George (Zorica) Jelic of Brookfield, Vesna (Claudio) Perinuzzi of Bayside, N.Y., Gordana (Stephen) Jelic-Lettieri of Brookfield and Mirjana "Midi" Jelic of Hermitage; and five great-grandchildren, Djuro Jelic, Luca Perinuzzi, Vincent Perinuzzi, Mihailo Jelic and Snezana Jelic.

Besides her two husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter and a sister.

Calling hours are noon to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon, Pa. A Pomen service will be held at 1:20 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. George Serbian Orthodox Church, 65 S. Keel Ridge Road, Hermitage, with the Rev. Milovan Katanic, pastor, officiating. Immediately following the funeral services, a memorial luncheon will be held for family and friends at the church beginning at 3:30 p.m.

Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Hermitage.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. George Serbian Orthodox Church, 65 S. Keel Ridge Road, Hermitage, Pa.
