MASSILLON - Maplewood High School's girls basketball team is in uncharted territory.

The Rockets, who are in their first regional final, face Berlin Hiland (24-3) in tonight's Division IV final starting at 7:30 p.m.

Berlin Hiland junior guard Regina Hochstetler scored 16 points, all in the second half as the Hawks beat Lake Ridge Thursday's in a regional semifinal at Massillon Perry High School, 38-28.

Hiland rallied with a 10-0 run in the third quarter to close Lake Ridge lead to one heading into the final quarter.

Meanwhile, Maplewood (22-5) put a stingy zone defense on Lowellville in Thursday's other semifinal victory, 45-36. Lowellville was 5 of 26 from 3-point range.

Brooke Dawson paced Maplewood with 13 points in the victory.
