HUBBARD -- Authorities identified the body of a woman they said appeared to have fallen through the ice at the Shenango Resevoir in Transfer, Pa.

Pymatuning police said they had been searching for Jean Black, 56, of Hubbard, since around 9:40 a.m. Thursday before recovering her body two hours later.

They said she was found about 40 feet off shore.

She was reported missing Wednesday. Police said they believe Black was trying to rescue her dogs after they fell through the ice. It appeared she had also fallen threw the ice and drowned. However, a cause of death has not been released.

Police said they plan to issue a news release with more details on Monday.

Police said Black's car was found at the Shenango Camp, which is a common place for dog walking.
