HUBBARD - Thomas R. Gast, 90, died Thursday afternoon, Feb. 28, 2013, in Hospice House.
He was born March 1, 1922, in Pennsylvania, the son of Frank and Maude Moyer Gast.
He served in the U.S. Navy in World War II, and was of the Protestant faith.

Tom was a retired engineer from the New York Central Railroad, and owned Tony's Sandwich Shop in Hubbard.
He was a member of the Mineral Ridge Volunteer Fire Department.
Survivors include a daughter, June Davies of Mineral Ridge; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.
There are no services or calling hours. Cremation will take place. The Lane Family Funeral Homes Mineral Ridge Chapel is handling the arrangements.
