MIDDLEFIELD - Dennis L. Shaffer, 75, died Thursday morning, Feb. 28, 2013, at Briar Hill Health Care.
He was born April 21, 1937, in Bainbridge, the son of Russell and Ruby Shaffer.
He was an over-the-road truck driver.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly Dayton; four children, Deborah Sakmar, Cynthia Liska, Timothy Shaffer and Laura Latimer; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother; and three sisters.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Best Funeral Home in Middlefield, where family and friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday.
Inurnment will be held in Auburn Cemetery at a later date.
