MINERAL RIDGE - Wendy L. Basinger, 34, died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013, at the Cleveland Clinic following a lengthy illness.
She was born Sept. 11, 1978, at home in Fairmont, W.Va., the daughter of Thomas Riffle and Lisa Summers.
Wendy enjoyed spending time with her children, family and friends; spending time outdoors; and attending the Church of God in Warren. Wendy's caring spirit was enjoyed by everyone she had ever met.

Wendy was a loving and caring mother and daughter who will be sadly missed by her three children - two sons, Joshua and Anthony, and a daughter, Ashley Basinger - her fiance, Tony Christopher; her parents, Sharon and James Franks; four maternal sisters, Iva Milender, Meranda Meadows, Jamie and Lisa Franks, all of Warren; and two paternal sisters, Shannon and Ashley; and 10 nieces and nephews of Warren.
Wendy was preceded in death by her father, Thomas "Ron" Riffle; her maternal and paternal grandparents; and three cousins of Warren.
Family and friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Robert P. McDermott Memorial Home, 614 Warren Ave., Niles, where funeral services will take place at 8 p.m.
