YOUNGSTOWN - A Boardman man was sentenced to 16 years in prison today for an attack on his wife in June.
John Sylvester, 37, of Jaguar Drive, was sentenced by Mahoning County Common Pleas Court Judge R. Scott Krichbaum after pleading guilty to charges of attempted murder, two counts of felonious assault, kidnapping and endangering children.
The charges stem from an attack on his wife in June, where she was stabbed several times as their 2-year-old son watched.
